Dr Marik is my hero and has kept my family healthy since this Covid fiasco started. I actually did mention intermittent fasting to my doctor during my last checkup, and she told me it was dangerous and to stop. I thanked her politely, and continue the practice, but honestly, don't expect sound nutritional advice from anyone or anywhere other than doing your own extensive research or watching/reading the FLCCC info. Grateful for all that all of you do FLCCC!

Instead of prescribing drugs how about we educate people on what makes them fat? No one cooks for themself anymore. One generation and everyone has forgotten how to cook. Everyone is racing around 24x7 and for what? Prioritize you and your family. Stop micro managing. Eat good food, get outside and exercise. It’s really very simple.

I’ve intermittent fasted and been low carb for about ten years. My weight has remained healthy and stable (130-135) until I got Covid. I lost too much weight too quickly while sick, then gradually regained it all plus 10-15more! My fasting blood glucose while still “normal” is higher than it’s ever been, in the low 90’s. Prior to Covid it was in the low 70’s. That damn virus changed my insulin resistance I believe. Did it damage my pancreas? Anybody else have this issue?

I take Mercola’s multi as well as extra zinc, quercitin with bromelain, curcumin, Nattokinase, krill oil, vit A, a very good probiotic, melatonin, ubiquinol, vit K and NAC. All bases covered. Even though I’m a Pureblood I worry about shedding.

I also did intermittent fasting and was once low carb. Gained back much of my weight when went to more moderate carb, but no regrets as low carb is extremely difficult to keep up with (for me).

Have you tried changing the order of eating food? There's at least one study showing that eating vegetables first, then protein and lastly carbs, helps stabilize blood glucose levels. For example, see https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30101510/ or https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31053510/ (there are other studies too).

A family did used this hack of the food order along with 15 min walk after any meal and she lost 10 pounds in one month .

Sounds similar to my journey! I never connected the two and just put the extra weight down to getting old but it certainly could be related to COVID messing things up.

I lost 70 pounds by taking control of my eating habits.

I've been doing a lunch/dinner only IF (16:8) for the last 3 years. Its the easiest weight control mechanism I've ever experienced, at least for me. It rhymes pretty well with a survival class I took a decade ago - where we basically ate once per day. I lost 14 pounds during the 2 week class. No lack of energy - we hiked 10-20 km per day. Some days we got feasts, most days, not so much. It felt very much like what Dr Marik describes about "how we used to live" way back when. I didn't realize this when I was going through it, but it is really clear now.

Wanna learn how to really make a fire? Avoid freezing at night? Navigate? And - lose 14 pounds too. :)

I have to call BS at the mention of new weight loss and obesity management drugs for people to learn how to eat less and maintain healthy dietary practices without medication. Seriously? Using new drugs as a catalyst to learn how not to use drugs? That’s quite an insight into how the FLCCC seems so deeply imbedded in the biopharma medical matrix IMHO and not applying natural health principles and longevity we’ve learned from in Blue Zones studies.

I also take issue with our ancestors relying on lean protein. In the film “The Game Changers”, research reveals that plant foods were more important than the archeological records give credit for. In this film, Dr. Richard Wrangham, Chair of Biological Anthropology at Harvard University, notes that in the last decade, Paleolithic sites have been revisited to reveal microscopic fossils of plants that tell a different story. Early human ancestors actually ate mostly vegetarian. Humans also don’t have genetic or physiological adaptations to meat consumption, but for plants, we do. We have longer digestive tracts for slow digestion and to digest fibrous foods. We can’t make vitamin C and are reliant on plants for that nutrient. We have trichromatic vision, which allows us to see more colors, which is important to discern between vegetables, fruits, and plant types. (This contrasts with carnivores that have dichromatic vision and see only two primary colors.) Finally, our teeth are square and low, meant for grinding, ideal for breaking down plant food. Our own mouths provide some of the best evidence we have.

While recent research supports for intermittent fasting, recent research that Mercola has pointed to finds challenges with fasting and exercise together putting stress on the body and I have first hand accounts of the troubles that can cause.

The benefits of exercise with heart disease, cancer prevention, mental disorders and many other diseases has been studied extensively. It’s required for healthy weight loss, the more the better for overall health outcomes and that requires glucose from preferably Whole Foods for fuel.

Can anyone provide a link to the most recent FLCCC protocols? I’ve looked through this past year, and I can’t seem to find it. Thank you in advance.

I started intermittent fasting by skipping breakfast then lunch and now I don’t eat anything till dinner! I was amazed and after the initial hungry stage went away I didn’t even want to eat before dinner!

I gained weight from Covid and nothing I tried to lose the 20 pounds from Covid worked! Intermittent fasting works!!

I originally found out about it was from FLCCC seminar.

One problem I’m having now is I never ate sweets, cakes , deserts. Not because I was on any special diet but I didn’t like sweets.

Now all of sudden after following intermittent fasting for over 8months , I have to have a desert after dinner and chocolate. I’m not gaining weight but I know it’s not good for me! Is this because of low blood sugar?

Thank you Dr. Marik for all you do.
