I am a practicing physician in CA. This law is clearly unconstitutional, violating the 1st Amendment, and I hope the FLCCC or AAPS will bring suit in federal court. This cannot stand.

Perhaps you can join with the 2 doctors who already filed the suit in California? I am saying this gently...you shared "this cannot stand", so please join in the fight to return the rights you want.

At the end of the Fauci movie, part II, there's a message of hope and encouragement of standing up with the phrase "I'll see you at the baracades". Will you join Dr Kory and other docs who said this at the movie's end? Will you stand at the baracade, recognizing there are many different "baracades", like joining the suit with the other 2 docs, or gathering some other docs who believe as you do and file another suit?

Many of us in the trenches outside of the medical field are doing whatever we can to protect our rights as patients. In Ohio for example, there's massive effort to get an Ohio Constitutional ammendment on the ballot, the medicalright2refuse.com

As a patient, we need your help of standing up. We are standing with all the docs who have risked and doing what we can to support them. You know AB2098 is wrong, this is impacting you, your patients, our country, and the world. Is now the time to see you at the baracade? With respect, hope to see you there!

I am confused on one of the prohibitions in the new law. California just became a “safe haven” for “transgender” kids to receive biology denying “treatment” like puberty blockers and cross sex hormones. Yet, when used to treat biology denying mental conditions (aka “gender dysphoria”), those drugs are used off label. How can both laws exist? Or does this law only apply to banning off label treatment for Covid-19?

Also, what will this do to the quality of medical schools in CA?

I am awaiting my jury summons. Meanwhile, consider it null and void and practice medicine, please. I've been without an MD, now, for almost 20 years because of this fascist government problem. (The naturopaths, chiropractors, and TCM practitioners and herbalists have had to fill in for me. NextDoor suspended me when I asked for doctor referrals last year. Good thing I'm healthy.)

Does CA have a medical freedom group? If not, start one. I agree with SeeingTruth. More doctors must stand up and speak and do something. Band together and act. Humbly and respectfully, but do. I am hopeful after NY Supreme Court gave those fired for refusing the shots their jobs back, but we need so many more to take some kind of action.

California does have many groups who are coordinating together to fight all this mess.

As soon as I witnessed physicians being threatened for actually practicing medicine, I knew that it was time for me to retire. I have been watching the insurance companies, big pharma, and government co-opt the medical community for 15 to 20 years. These afore mentioned entities have no place in medicine or medical decisions. The system is broken and unless the powers that be will let the MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS do their jobs, it cannot be fixed. And I pray for humanity as there will be no one to advocate for the patients. If pharmaceutical deaths are the 3rd largest cause of mortality, you can look for that number to increase exponentially.

I’m with you. I retired 4 years ago , having come to CA decades ago for residency and fellowship training. We’d leave CA except for the grandkids and the weather. What has happened in CA cannot and will not stand.

IF the people allow this to stand, then the people deserve the lawlessness of it. Fight and kill it!

We would still be blood letting and not washing our hands if consensus Standard of Care were still the law of the land. Something to think about.

This is beyond disheartening. The noose is now drawn taught against these Doctor’s and Medicine’s necks.

While the general public is blissfully unaware.

Pharm companies and others have long been stacking med boards. My own physician was attacked in CA and threatened with jail for not giving Ritalin to children and utilizing allergy treatment that was safer and more efficacious 20+ years ago. Other doctors who supported alternative care were put under investigation, again 20 years ago. From the trial the MBC is not allowed to choose which science they like. So now Newsom has put it into statewide law that the state will choose the “science” and there will be no debate. See the book “Racketeering In Medicine” by James P. Carter (1992).

I think the end game here is to replace doctors with computer programs loaded with the latest 'expert opinion' and 'best practices' -- direct from the pharmaceutical companies. It will save a lot of money. There is no need to pay for expensive professional judgement if you won't let the professionals exercise any.

California Colleges are going to lose medical students at unprecedented rates. Who would ever want to go to a doctor trained under such a repressive regime? In a few years a Medical Diploma from California will be worse than meaningless. It will be negative.

I think doctors will leave since they won’t be able to practice medicine normally. Californians will leave because being unable to get correct medical care is frightening.
