Medicare is corrupting the healthcare system, increased costs and has lowered the quality of care by reducing patient options. Anything government touches goes to hell. Independent guys and a competitive market allows for better outcomes.
It's also the INSURANCE COMPANIES! I just received a denial of coverage from Medical Mutual Medicare Advantage for hydroxychloroquine. I've been it prescribed off-label for 20 years, by 2 different doctors, originally for fibromyalgia then Sjogrens too. Now they'll only cover off-label for lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. Those are both autoimmune diseases. So is Sjogrens.
Dump them if you can. State regulations also come into play here with medical boards supporting control of doctors and preventing them from prescribing and treating patients as they deem necessary. During the pandemic, public health authorities monitored the use (who wrote RXs) of Hydroxychloroquine and this is probably part of a rebound effect of that. Insurance companies are allowed to function only through state regulators.
Until the laws change to end Big Pharma influence in media and Congress, Congressional oversight is a corrupt process which will not accomplish these goals. Please let’s be realistic as you have been about COVID and early treatment.

Despite Dr. Kory's excellent ambitions. Nothing will ever happen unless & until, the Rockefeller's subversion of med schools is reversed. The current invidious infiltration of those same med schools by the evil millions from gates & his seemingly innocuous foundations. Must be stopped immediately.
Unless & until, every surviving, truly moral & ethical doctors left in the world, joins FLCC.
Then & only then will medical practitioners be restored to the proper place in society.
