Metformin plumps up the metabolic activity of the cell. So, in the case of poor glucose transport, a healthier cell is better at transporting glucose than one that is not so healthy. By the same token, a heathy cell does a lot of other things better than an unhealthy cell including dealing with cancer, toxins, infections etc.

My question is do substances like Berberine accomplish the same thing. Some people can't tolerate Metformin.....

Many people don’t have access to met Forman either, because we can’t afford white coat, doctors, nor the test that they prescribe, nor have any faith in them right now. Dr. Merrick and FLCCC I’ve done a fair amount of research on berberine and because I had ground glass granules in my lungs and no competent doctor, I continue to shoot from the hip and things that could help my fluctuating POTs and shotty diagnosis of lung atrophy, noted with no follow up by doctors. The ground glass granules were not treated when I was in the hospital for six days, and when I released, they said they were due to pulmonary edema, I am not going to bore you with all the rest of the BS that got me nowhere. The Long FLCCC protocall helped quite a bit, but I think it’s relapsing almost a year later. That’s probably why I’m more interested in the pulmonary aspect. What did Pierre use off label on a gentleman who had that persistent cough?

Sorry about the typos, evening is not a good time for me to do this. Sorry Dr. Marik about the spelling.❤️ I absolutely love all the science that is coming out these days, it’s like being a little kid in a candy shop. Thank you for all the Frontline doctors and people that continue to sacrifice and journey on.🩷

Or can't get a prescription for metformin- I would also think that berberine will have less side effects (but as you say, chances are it may not accomplish all of the same things as metformin)

I think they are both mTOR inhibitors but Berberine does not have the same half life as Metformin and has to be taken multiple times a day.

Yes I think you're correct, as in indirect mTOR inhibitors https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5839379/ - though not direct mTOR inhibitors like the immunosuppressant rapamycin/sirolimus...

Rapamycin is the Gold Standard for mTor inhibition, but it is expensive, and the question is how often should ti be taken in this context...?

Yes, some people take rapamycin for anti-aging purposes (sometimes even along with metformin), certainly interesting although I have a hard time thinking that taking rapamycin would actually reduce all-cause mortality, given its side effects such as reduced immunity and increased infection susceptibility, etc. An ACM reduction is definitely still possible though, if rapamycin indeed reduces cancer deaths- AFAIK the results for rapamycin alone aren't spectacular but there are some rather promising (preliminary) results treating cancer with rapamycin combined with other drugs.

I have to admit...because metformin has been used for a long time for diabetes, I assumed it was yet another useless side-effect-generating poison. To learn that it might actually be useful is a shock to me.

Same assumption, same shock. Time to reevaluate and do some homework.

I was hearing bad things about metformin a couple years maybe before covid. Was that a smear campaign?

Expand full comment

Yes it was! There is a huge push of newer high cost agents for diabetes so there has been concerted efforts to diminish the glamour of metformin. Despite those efforts, metformin still remains as a 1st line drug for Type 2 diabetes on most treatment guidelines.

It seems there are more and more PROVEN SAFE, pre-existing medicines, like Ivermectin and Metformin, that assist in curing and eradicating Covid.

The only thing that doesn't is the Covid injection they pretend is a VAX. That crap can kill you, leaving relatives with the 'NO LIABILITY clause' to stop you suing for the manufacturers for compensation!

Instead of the Super-wealthy putting their energy and wealth into sensible 'depopulation initiatives', like rewarding the poor to have less children, they prefer to carry on pretending there's a Scamdemic and continue pumping poisons into the world's population in order to reduce the polluting 'USELESS EATERS'! This is The WEF's Great Reset = The New World Order's inspired CULL!

Covid Vax Kills, maims and causes impotency, or worse still, birth defects and 'still-births'. All these outcomes are deliberate reasons the POISONOUS injections (mistakenly referred to as VACCINE) were created! To reduce world Population (CULL!) in order to stem Global Warming!

Health Canada have recently admitted that Pfizer Covid vaccine contains DNA sequence of SV-40. The Simian Virus, which was the fortieth monkey virus that had been identified in the 1960s.

The FDA and the CDC have not said whether or not it knew that SV-40 was in the Covid vaccines. This is important for a few reasons.

Some say that the Covid vaccine only has the SV-40 promoter and not the antigen so that’s OK. Why on earth would Pfizer require a carcinogenic material in their already dangerous (lethal( injections?

FDA was told this and helped Pfizer hide it? If they did in fact hide it, does it pierce the armor of the PREP Act, which gave them total 'ZERO LIABILITY' from Covid injection related Injuries and DEATHS?

Having read this piece, and having type 2 diabetes, and taking Glucophage/ Metformin twice daily as prescribed by my GP, I am encouraged by this discovery, and the thought that my chronic medication, quite possibly serves a dual purpose.

I was glad to see you mentioned B12 Deficiency. It is often ignored, even though it is on the FDA label. People who take this medication should be tested regularly for B12 levels with a selectively sensitive test such as Urinary or serum Methylmalonic Acid. If the standard serum B12 is used, consider symptoms and use a low value of 400 instead of 200. And because Metformin causes digestive issues, it is better to treat with sublingual tablets or injections instead of oral tablets. The digestive symptoms are what cause the B12 Deficiency in the first place, so taking additional oral pills do little good.

I also saw in a study that Met Forman may be helpful in delaying and possibly staffing fibrosis from idiopathic pneumonia or organizing pneumonia? Any possibility of berberine being a more available, safer, and possible substitution for met Forman for the organizing pneumonia damage, and/or similar use for cancer and diabetes? I know Dr. Merrick list berberine below Met Forman in his book, but I have not had a chance to read it yet.😬❤️

Hello FLCCC Alliance and community... Hello Human Unity,

I am happy to find that the drug being highlighted here is derived from Nature. I am not surprised that a substance that unfolded from the Highest of perspectives and Grace is effective in Health maintenance. Quinine is a product of Natures testing as is Ivermectin and now Galega officinalis or ```Goat's Rue shines as another Earthling and hero in our struggle to overcome the mistakes of medical business as usual; organized crime by any other name that stinks just as bad.

Metformin - History — https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metformin#History

Galega officinalis is a natural source of galegine.

""The biguanide class of antidiabetic medications, which also includes the withdrawn agents phenformin and buformin, originates from the French lilac or goat's rue (Galega officinalis), a plant used in folk medicine for several centuries. G. officinalis itself does not contain any of these medications, but isoamylene guanidine; phenformin, buformin, and metformin are chemically synthesized compounds composed of two guanidine molecules, and are more lipophilic than the plant-derived parent compound...""

Once again I will say Bless Nature Humanity by being humble and learning... no?

Thank the Creator for Nature who is simply his Will unfolding according to Wisdom, Truth definitive and Grace? Make it so Humanity?

... and thanks too, to the medical indoctrinated who overcome that indoctrination; Human Beings who remain faithful to Humanity while inuring threats and resisting seductive offers of comforts from organized crime.

Update after further reading/listening...

From: Galega officinalis L. and Immunological Status in Diabetes Mellitus | IntechOpen — https://www.intechopen.com/chapters/69914

""Abstract

Under diabetes mellitus, the administration of Galega officinalis promotes restoration of leukocyte precursors’ bone marrow pool and normalizes their proliferative activity. This plant protects the functional state of leukocytes by modulating actin cytoskeleton formation and through quantitative redistribution of leukocyte membrane glycoconjugates. Galega officinalis prevents the development of diabetes-associated oxidative stress which results in antiapoptotic activity. The normalization of leukocytes’ proliferative and functional capacity by Galega officinalis, along with its antiapoptotic and hypoglycemic effects, can improve the course of the disease and may prevent the development of complications of diabetes.""

Perhaps the whole of the Plant has nor to offer than does any synthetic monetized by business?

Just a thought Humanity?

It may be wise to do further study of the other substances from the plant to see if they help in synergistic ways?
