Paul Marik, MD, one of the most highly published critical care physicians in the world and the Director of the ICU at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, was recently prohibited by Sentara Healthcare from administering a range of highly effective COVID-19 treatments to critically ill patients—the same treatments he has successfully used to reduce COVID deaths in the ICU by as much as 50%. The result of the prohibition has been a sharp increase in patient mortality. Because Dr. Marik can no longer stand by while patients needlessly die without proper treatment, he has filed a lawsuit to allow him and his colleagues to administer the combination of FDA-approved drugs and other therapies that has saved thousands of critically ill COVID-19 patients in the last 18 months.
I applaud Dr. Marik and the FLCCC. They have saved many lives and are true heroes in these dark times! The fact that this lawsuit is necessary is shocking, and reflects the utter corruption of our medical system (as well as our government, media, etc.).
Thank you Dr. Marik for standing up for patients and your right to treat them with the best-known science available. It is a travesty that physicians are not allowed to practice medicine effectively because of political, financial, and group-think interference.

I want to know who got to the hospital management, and what threats/bribes it took to get them to interfere in the practices of their doctors. It's unheard of to limit access to cheap drugs. Typically, only the use of very expensive drugs is restricted.
We live about 90 minutes from Norfolk. I've previously considered that if I'd known someone in critical condition with Covid I would recommend that, if possible, they go to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, precisely because the ICU Director is Dr. Paul Marik. Under his insightful care, a patient's chances of survival would increase dramatically.
Medicine is both an art and a science. Physicians must be free to use all possible means to save their patients. Any restrictions such as Sentara seeks to impose are criminal, and such restrictions would also make them guilty in deaths that occur due to this corrupt withholding of treatment possibilities.
Thank you Dr. Marik! I am a nurse in NY with 33 years experience, I am heartbroken at the state of healthcare. Please FLCCC can we all figure out a way to start our own hospital? I would relocate to work in a hospital run by doctors and nurses and ban all administrator positions! A multidisciplinary cooperative should be the model! Let’s do this!
