On the third anniversary of the COVID-19 vaccine mandates, we look back on one of the most controversial public health policies in U.S. history and speculate as to what lurks in the shadows.
How did it affect me? Lots of stress. Went back to the functional medicine doctor I had consulted with a few years before and got a medical exemption. Also, sincerely and studiously wrote out my religious exemption and made peace with the thought that I could be fired, but knew I could not get any of these vaccines. First, I went through the process of messaging my endocrinologist to inquire about safety with my autoimmune condition and saw the message was hijacked by some unknown Dr who didn't even look through my chart carefully or at all and I started to wonder if this was a foretaste of socialist medicine? I had my religious exemption denied by an unknown entity with no way to contest and was abandoned by my union which really didn't surprise me as one rep gave me a hard time with flu shot harassment years before and thought his opinion as a PA was going to impress me. Had my temporary medical accepted and saw the next set of forms more invasive, then saw how the website was dysfunctional when I tried to upload an updated medical exemption and despite contacting union, HR and covid monitoring person; no one could figure it out and just ignored it until I was suddenly suspended with hours notice months after working without an updated form in place. I would've enjoyed that time off a lot more if I had known they were going to end up paying me by accident. I did not sign the form they stuck to my locker after I came back giving them permission to take back the money they mistakenly paid me. It took about a week to get my computer access back so I worked as an expensive CNA during that time. A lot of disquieting thoughts and feelings coming back while writing this out. God provided and I have used that experience in recent times to remind myself that all of the worrying did not help and was not needed.

The mandates fundamentally changed me. I lost my professional identity when I was terminated for refusing to comply after my requests for religious and medical exemption were denied. I remain in limbo with the drawn out legal process seeking to protect my right to religious freedom and other inalienable rights. My life is changed, but my faith is stronger. I will not forget the mandates, I will not forget all those who also stood for freedom, I will not unlearn the fundamental lessons learned when the freedom I took for granted was challenged. Well, a week before Thanksgiving my spouse was given the ultimatum at work. They had prepared a letter because they knew it was coming, but then they were stunned (nearly into submission) by the long inquisition (Inquisition) form that was required. We were afraid they were going to lose their job. I told them I'd rather have them unemployed than dead.
Praise God we heard about Jeff Childers and his talk at the 2021 Florida covid summit. We listened and then hurried to Jeff's blog for more information about completing the dastardly forms.
Thank God the exemption statement (it's NOT a request; it's a statement) was accepted (they're not approved; they get accepted or denied), and my spouse was able to keep their job.
Mandates also evoked an outcry by citizens before our state legislature, and following that ordeal (our lawmakers caved to special interests) got me involved in some local and state political endeavors which has been eye-opening and inspiring. Inspiring because I have met many great patriots. Eye-opening, well, I don't have to tell any of ya'll here about that.

By GODS grace I live in a conservative leaning county in Florida. From the instant the strange Chinese short videos hit the internet, I knew that the plandemic was a power grab. One of the county commissioners decided to make a demand that our EMTs and firefighters get the vaccine immediately or lose their jobs. I made a comment on his video and then sent him an email. I pointed out that the experimental “cure” was potentially a death sentence and further suggested that he himself should step up and take all the vaccines available. You know, to “lead by example” and all that. After that all was quiet until the first Tuesday of last month. This silly man lost his reelection bid and is no longer representing any other person other than himself.
I had booked flights to go and meet my two half sisters who I found through Ancestry.com. They live in Hawaii. In June 2021, went ahead and got the vaccine ( J&J). I did not want to get it, but I wanted to be able to go and meet them and NOT have to stand in line every other day to be tested in Hawaii WITH NO SYMPTOMS!🤬. This galled me to no end. Everywhere you went they wanted to see that phony vaccine card. They put the onus on employees to have to ask for it which was ridiculous. The airlines were ridiculous with the flight attendants constantly badgering us to pull up our masks. We wore masks that said “This mask is as useless as Joe Biden”. It helped a little to have some humor in this insanity. Hawaii is a beautiful place, but they are a horrible state. I would never live there. What the world went through with this fiasco was a travesty, and yes, I fully believe they will try it again. I will never comply again. EVER.
